Both lock securely in place with a slight twist of the steel lever handles. Two 16 oz. stainless steel canisters for brushes solvents etc. are held conveniently in hole cutouts.Welded base is 1-1/4 square steel tube. Shelves hang from the 1 square steel tube upright.
